Bund Angle Viewpoint

This public riverside vantage point sits on the North Bund waterfront in Hongkou, tucked behind the historic Russian Consulate building right where Suzhou Creek flows into the Huangpu River. Reached by crossing the Waibaidu Bridge from the classic Bund and following the walkway down toward the riverbank, it offers a noticeably less crowded alternative to the main promenade.

Because of the river's bend, the location provides a wide viewing angle that captures both sides of Shanghai's cityscape at once. Looking south along the curve of the water reveals the long row of heritage facades lining the Bund, while looking across the Huangpu River provides a direct view of the modern Pudong skyline and the towers of Lujiazui.

The open promenade here is a favored stop for photographers who want clean skyline views without the dense foot traffic of the central riverfront. From this point, the waterfront path continues eastward along the quieter boardwalks and gardens of the North Bund.
