Opened in late 2023, Renhengcang Streets is an open-air, low-density shopping and lifestyle district in Suzhou's historic Gusu District, situated next to the ancient Xiangmen city gate and moat. Designed by architectural firm Woods Bagot, the complex reinterprets the spatial layout of traditional Jiangnan neighborhoods, weaving grey-tiled pitched roofs, sunken courtyards, and pedestrian alleyways into sleek, contemporary pavilion structures.
The pedestrian village is home to international luxury flagships, independent designer boutiques, and lifestyle stores, alongside teahouses, cafes, and diverse dining options. It also incorporates public art installations and open plazas, making it a popular spot for a leisurely stroll and a meal after visiting the nearby city walls or Pingjiang Road.
